Our shipment of fresh cut Christmas Trees arrived last week. We sold out early last year, so make sure you get in quick to get your perfect tree.
4 Steps to Keeping Your Cut Tree Fresh
- Refresh the tree by making a straight cut. Remove one inch off the butt end and immediately place in water. This will improve water uptake.
- Place the tree in a stand that can hold at least 1 gallon of water. Expect the tree to soak up additional water. Water your new tree until water uptake stops.
- Always keep the base of a tree in water. If the base dries out, resin will form on the cut end and the tree will not be able to absorb any more water and will dry out quicker. You don’t need anything other than regular tap water
- Take down the tree before it dries out. Fresh cut trees if properly cared for should last at least 5 weeks before drying out. Some species keep their moisture longer than others.
